Sunday Muse

the air is different today
the wind sings with a new tone
sighing of changes
coming
the harvest gathered
a flower, a nut,
some mead, and bread,
a candle and a prayer
returning the fruits
in thanksgiving
to the grove
and receiving
it's blessing
again

  1. I know I smelled fall in the air,but this weekend it has felt like summer here. I hope the fall weather returns soon! xx

  2. I wrote the poem "Alban Elfed" in 1997. I am pleased to see that so many have used it on their websites and blogs over the years. Glad you enjoyed it enough to post it here. Love your blog. Sam Gahagan, AKA RHawk.
