Peeps!

Lambing was finished just in time to allow preparation for the arrival of The Peeps.

65 in all.... a mixture of Silver Laced Wyandottes,  New Hampshire Reds, Buff Orpingtons, White Giants, and Rhode Island Reds.
The farmhouse is now filled with the wonderful sounds of ..... Cheep Cheep Cheep!!

  2. Good timing! I'm interested in the breeds - I used to rear rare breeds, then went on to modern hybrids (though didn't rear them myself) and am now looking to replace all four hens after their sad demise.

  3. Wow, 65 babies! I posted about my little brood today too. I only hatched 8, but have plans to do 8 or 10 more. Do you sell the eggs or are they just for farm use?

  5. Ours came in yesterday. I can't wait to get home from work to see them. Ted gets all the fun. I love watching them grow.
