Finally! Liam's first lamb!

This afternoon Sally Ann finally had her lamb. We have been waiting impatiently; waiting with much anticipation because this is our first lamb sired by Liam, our registered Border Leicester ram.
He is a good looking ram lamb, weighing 8 lbs 12 ozs.

Welcome Little Kathleen

Nuala decided to deliver her first lamb during the beginning of the WVU vs. Clemson NIT championship basketball game. We have continued the Irish naming tradition by choosing to dub the little white ewe Kathleen, also linking her to the WVU victory.

Faith Renewed: Another Ewe Lamb

Faith, one of our Border Leicester cross yearlings, had her lamb today -- an 8 lb 13 oz white ewe. After a little rocky start with Neala trying to adopt it, Faith has

Neala's lamb

Our Coopworth X Blue-Faced Leicester yearling Neala presented us with a beautiful healthy baby ewe today. She is being a very attentive mother. We are very happy that it was a warm day for the new lamb. Neala was purchased from Martha McGrath at Deerrun Sheep Farm last fall and is a daughter of Silver Creek Obsidian.

Spring Shearing - the best laid plans gone awry

Ice...
thick layers of ice...

snow...
drooping fences... and naked sheep...
